SCRATCH
Catching Fruit
In this video of demonstration, I am reviewing my new project, which is Catching Fruit. What is Catching Fruit? Where did you make it?
Catching Fruit is the easiest game to play and create in Scratch. It is very simple.
But before we get into the game, what is Scratch? Scratch is an application or program that you use to code and create simple 2D or 3D games. Scratch is the most recommended program for beginners to create and learn making games. Okay, so now let’s continue to the game.
How do you play? So first, the controls is that you use A and D to move the bowl. The bowl sprite needs to catch the fruits, for mine it’s only apple for now. There are two types, the Apple and the Golden Apple. If you catch the apple, you will get 1 points. However, if you catch the Golden Apple, you will get 5 points.
There are some challenges, which is beetles falling with the apples. The beetles have two types as well, which is normal and golden beetle. If yo catch the beetle, you will get -1 points. And, if you catch your golden beetle you will get -5 points.
In my version, if you get 100 points you will win. However, if you get -50 points, you will automatically lose. So, you will have to collect as many apples as possible, and try to not catch any beetles as much as possible.
Attitude Game/Game Adab Before Sleep in Islam
In this video of demonstration, I will review my new game and my 2nd Scratch project made in Scratch which is Adab Game.
Adab Game is a game where it teaches you how to sleep in the correct way in our religion, Islam. The system of the game is a slide presentation.
How do you play? First, you click play. Then, you can choose a character, the boy or the girl. Then, after you choose the character you will get redirected to the slide about how to sleep. In the slides, you have 3 buttons, which are: home, next and back button.
If you click the home button, you will go to the menu. If you click the back and next button, you will go to the next or previous slide.
Pac-Man
IN this video of another demonstration of Scratch, I am demonstrating another game and my 3rd project I made here, which is Pac-Man.
I’m sure you guys know what Pac-Man is. Who doesn’t? Oh well, Pac-Man is a classic yet simple game that uses WASD (in this scratch version) to move Pac-Man. You have to dodge the ghosts or the red dots to collect the points, in order to win.
If you get 10 points, you will win. However, if you touch the ghosts 3 times or lose 3 of your health, you will automatically lose. So, you will have to dodge them as best as you can.
Pac-Man is one of the easiest game to make in Scratch as well. I literally finished this in 2 days, the same as Catching Fruit. How? It’s so simple, just little codes to make.
Block Breaker
In this another, another, another, another and another video of demonstration, I am reviewing my new game which is Block Breaker. Wow, a lot of games, isn’t it?
Block Breaker is another simple game that is easy to make in Scratch. However, there are a lot of bugs you have to face. Block Breaker is a game where you have a ball to destroy the blocks. If you destroy them all, you will win.
In my version of Block Breaker, I use Points for the game. If you get 20 points (or destroying all the blocks, which is 20 blocks), you will win. However, there is a twist. If you see in the video, there is an underline. If the ball touches that underline, you’ll lose instantly.
Block Breaker, if you don’t know, is like Atari. You know that Atari Breakout easter egg from Google that you can play? Yes, it’s like that. It’s like that game, but easier and much simpler.
Fruit Ninja
Welcome back to another demonstration of Scratch. In this video, I am demonstrating my newest and most interesting game, which is Fruit Ninja. Yes, Fruit Ninja. You guys know this game right?
Of course you guys know. It’s a classic and nostalgic mobile game, but this time it’s on Scratch. Wow, interesting. But, there’s a twist. This Fruit Ninja uses your CAMERA! Yes! Your camera! You play with your own hands moving!
In my version of Fruit Ninja, you use your literal hands to cut the fruits. You move your hands to slice the fruits. If you got 10 points or sliced 10 fruits, you will win. BUT, if you slice the bomb, it will explode and you will lose.
Fruit Ninja in Scratch is very, very easy. Even though it may look hard because we use camera, but it’s actually simple to code. Scratch already facilitates us by giving an extension to use our cameras, so you don’t have to make complicated codes.
Alien Invader
Ah yes, another demonstration. Welcome to another new Scratch game! Today I have made a new game, which is Alien Invader!
Yes. Alien Invader. It’s like Space Invaders, kind of like that. So, you have an Alien Ship in control and you have to dodge and shoot the alien invaders, which are the UFO’s. However, there is a BIG, BIG, BIG BOSS UFO shooting lasers to us.
If you succesfully dodge and shoot 5 normal UFO’s, then you can win! But, if you get shoot by the BIG UFO then, well, you’ll lose. So, try to dodge the boss as best as you can!
Alien Invader is easy to play! Just use your right-left arrow keys to move and space to shoot lasers.
Defender
Almost the final game! Welcome to ANOTHER DEMONSTRATION of Scratch! This time, I will review Defender, a defending your base game!
So in this game, you have many sprites; tank, enemy, boss, and missile. You will use the tank to defend your base. In front of your base, there is a portal that will spawn enemy tanks to destroy your base. If you shoot the boss, you will win. Hovewer, if you lose 10 of your lives, you will lose.
Defender is a pretty easy game to make and play. Very simpleeee.. and yet there’s bugs. So many bugs and lags that I faced while making this game. Designing is also a little bit complicated.
Bomberman/Bombercat
Well everyone, welcome to the last Scratch demonstration because this game is my final target, which is Bomberman or Bombercat. Bomberman is the easiest game to code (some sprites just need to duplicate) but the hardest to play.
You guys know Bomberman right? Or bombercat? The bomber is a cat, and there will be crabs in the borders. The crabs will roam the main backdrop. If you touch the crabs, you’ll lose. But, if you spawn a bomb to kill the crab and get 5 score, you’ll win. But if you hit the explosion of your bomb, you’ll lose.
Bomberman actually has many bugs but it’s because of some wrong codes, like when the border and the crab have the same color (code is using touching color, not touching sprite).
BUILDBOX
Jumping Game
Well, hello there! I am back from last year. Now I am showing my new target, a game made in Buildbox! I am using a new platform in the second semester, because I am already finished with Scratch. This is maybe my first target(?) in this semester for games. In this occasion I am making Jumping Game, a very simple game.
Jumping Game is very easy to make, because most of you will make this game as your first game to make. Actually, Jumping Cube is just a platformer game where you have to make the cube jump to collect diamonds and avoid obstacles. However, unlike Scratch, it is 3D. Yes, Buildbox can make 3D games, as well as 2D games.
Maybe that’s all that I can explain a little about the game. If you want a demonstration, you can see the video above!
Running Ball
Well, hello there! It’s another Buildbox Project. Now I am showing my first target, a game made in Buildbox! I am using a new platform in the second semester, because I am already finished with Scratch. This is actually my first target in this semester for games, not Jumping Cube. In this occasion I am making Running Ball, a very simple game.
Running Ball is basically the same like Jumping Cube, except it’s a ball and it runs, not jumps. Running Ball is very easy to make. Running Ball a platformer game where you have to make the cube run to collect diamonds and avoid obstacles. However, unlike Scratch, it is 3D. Yes, Buildbox can make 3D games, as well as 2D games.
Maybe that’s all that I can explain a little about the game. If you want a demonstration, you can see the video above!
Switching Ball
Another Buildbox Project, my second target of IT. In this occasion I am making Running Ball, a very simple game. And again, basically like Running Ball
Running Ball is basically the same like Jumping Cube, except it’s a ball and it runs, not jumps. Meanwhile Switching Ball, it switches to another direction (zig-zag). Switching Ball is very easy to make. A platformer game where you have to make the ball run zig-zag to collect coins and treasures while avoiding obstacles. However, unlike Scratch, it is 3D. Yes, Buildbox can make 3D games, as well as 2D games.
Maybe that’s all that I can explain a little about the game. If you want a demonstration, you can see the video above!
Car Driving Game
Hello there! It’s another Buildbox Project! I’m not sure if this is another project for my school or if this is just a basic game to increase my skill. Anyway, I’m going to briefly tell about the game I made, which is a driving game.
This game is about a car driving through streets and buildings in the city. You can customize your buildings, and your vehicles! You will become a car in this game. However, there is a defeat zone outsside of the road that you shouldn’t touch. If you touch the defeat zone, well you’ll be defeated. Be careful about crashing, because you’ll lose when you crash, too.
Maybe that’s all that I can explain a little about the game. If you want a demonstration, you can see the video above!
Crossing Road, but it’s Cube?
Almost the last project for IT lesson at IDN as 7th grade! Weeeelcome BACK to another demonstration of a new game I made in Buildbox, which is CROSSING ROAD! But wait, there’s a catch. Why is it different? Why is it a cube…..
WELL, I would like to answer those questions. This is not like the Crossing Road that we know and love, this is actually based on cubes. There are other cubes spawning as platform for you to “cross the road”. Be careful, though! There are many obstacles and barriers that are camouflaging behind, so be focus!
How to play? It’s very easy, just touch the screen (iPhone/iPad/Android/Touchscreen devices, dll) or click the left mouse button (PC/Mac)!
Maybe that’s all that I can explain a little about the game. If you want a demonstration, you can see the video above!
Dino Google/Dino Game
This is it. Last project for IT lesson at IDN as 7th grade. Another demonstration of a new game (the last game) I made in Buildbox, which is Dino Game!
Basically the same as the dino game you all know from the Chrome browser when you’re offline. Basically the same controls, functions, etc. Well, the difference is.. it’s on Buildbox.
Maybe that’s all that I can explain a little about the last game. If you want a demonstration, you can see the video above!
